Salmon Arm

The Salty Dog Enduro

The Salty Dog Enduro Event.

The Salty Dog 6-Hour Enduro, now in its 22nd year, remains one of British Columbia’s longest-running and most cherished mountain bike events. Set in Salmon Arm, this race invites both solo riders and teams of two to tackle some of the region’s finest trails over a 6.5-hour span. Known for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere, it offers options for riders of all skill levels.

The event lineup includes more than just the main 6-Hour Enduro. Young cyclists can participate in the 3-Hour U15 Enduro or the Salty Pup race for the youngest riders. These races encourage budding talent in the sport and make the event accessible to the whole family.

The Salty Dog is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of cycling culture in the Shuswap region. Each year, it coincides with the Salty Street Fest in downtown Salmon Arm, creating a lively weekend for participants and spectators alike. Beyond the race, it also supports the local cycling community, with proceeds contributing to trail maintenance, youth cycling initiatives, and other community projects.

Organized by the Shuswap Cycling Club, the event relies on sponsorships to sustain its efforts. It’s a key date in the cycling calendar, drawing riders from across the province and beyond.
